Wholesale Paraffin Wax
The hottest paraffin wax in 2023
- Paraffin wax is a white or colorless solid wax that is derived from petroleum. It is a mixture of straight-chain alkanes that range from C20 to C40 in carbon chain length. Paraffin wax is classified based on its melting point, which ranges from 50 to 70°C for low-melting-point waxes, 70 to 90°C for medium-melting-point waxes, and above 90°C for high-melting-point waxes.
- After dewaxing, the resulting product is a semi-refined paraffin wax, which can be further refined to produce fully refined paraffin wax. This is achieved through a series of processes including hydrogenation, deodorization, and bleaching, which result in a more pure and consistent product with a higher melting point.
- In addition to its use as a candle-making wax, paraffin wax also has a variety of other industrial applications such as coating, packaging, and as a lubricant. It is also used in the cosmetics industry in products such as lipsticks and skin creams.
Classification of Paraffin
There are Fully refined, Semi refined and slack wax in our factory;
They are white, odourless and with an oil content usually under 0.8%.
Our wax range available in melting point from 54°C to 64°C and with slab & granule form
Fully Refined Paraffin Wax
- Fully refined paraffin wax is a type of paraffin wax that has undergone further refining processes in order to remove any remaining impurities, resulting in a more pure and consistent product with a higher melting point than semi-refined wax.
- Fully refined paraffin wax is an important raw material in various industries, including cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, and candle making.
Semi refined Paraffin Wax
- Semi-refined paraffin wax is a type of paraffin wax that has undergone some refining processes, but not to the extent of fully refined paraffin wax. Semi-refined paraffin wax is often referred to as slack wax and has a lower melting point than fully refined paraffin wax.
- Semi-refined paraffin wax is mainly used in applications where a lower melting point is needed, such as in making candles, crayons, and matches. It can also be used as a waterproof coating for wood, paper, and cloth, as well as a lubricant in various applications.
Slack Wax
- Slack wax is a byproduct of the refining process of crude oil, consisting of a mixture of paraffin wax and oil. Its oil content can range from 10% to 30%.
- The main application of paraffin slack wax is the production of fully refined paraffin wax. However, it also finds use in the manufacturing of particle boards and medium-density fiberboards, as well as cable filing compounds, matches, candles, rust protective products, and moisture vapor barriers. Slack wax is favored in these applications due to its lower melting point and cost-effectiveness.

Application of Paraffin Wax
Paraffin wax has a wide range of applications across various industries due to its favorable properties, such as being odorless, tasteless, and having a low melting point. Here are some common applications of paraffin wax:
- Candle-making: Paraffin wax is one of the most commonly used waxes in the candle-making industry due to its low cost, availability, and ease of use. It is preferred by many candle makers because it is easy to color and fragrance. Paraffin wax also burns cleanly and evenly, producing a bright flame.
- Cosmetics: Paraffin wax is often used in cosmetic products, such as moisturizing creams, lip balms, and hair products. It helps to moisturize and soften the skin and hair, and create a barrier on the skin to prevent moisture loss.
- Food packaging: Paraffin wax is used in food packaging to provide a protective coating for products such as cheese and meat. It acts as a barrier against moisture, bacteria, and other environmental contaminants, helping to maintain the quality and freshness of the food.
- Pharmaceuticals: Paraffin wax is used as an excipient in pharmaceuticals, such as ointments and suppositories. It is also used as a coating agent for pills and capsules, and as a carrier for drugs.
- Industrial applications: Paraffin wax is used in a variety of industrial applications, such as in the manufacture of rubber products, in crayons, and in the production of firelogs. It is also used as a lubricant and rust preventative for metal parts.
Overall, the versatility of paraffin wax makes it a useful material across multiple industries.
Packing of Paraffin Wax
The paraffin wax produced by Aoding is a white solid in either block or granular form. The blocks are packaged in 50KG bags (56*55*22CM), while the granular form is packaged in 25KG bags (70*48*13CM). A 20ft container can transport up to 20 tons of paraffin wax. Storage should be in a well-ventilated dry area to maintain proper quality.
Aoding’s block paraffin wax is packaged in 50kg bags that measure 56cm in length, 55cm in width, and 22cm in height. Each bag contains a white solid block of paraffin wax. These bags are designed to be durable and provide protection to the wax during shipping and storage. The bags are also easy to handle and stack, making them ideal for efficient and organized storage. When storing the paraffin wax bags, it is recommended to keep them in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area to prevent moisture buildup, which could impact the quality of the wax.
Aoding’s granular paraffin wax is packaged in 25kg boxes that measure 70cm in length, 48cm in width, and 13cm in height. The boxes are designed to be strong and sturdy, providing protection to the wax during transportation and storage. The boxes are easy to handle and can be stacked to optimize storage space. To maintain the quality of the wax, it is recommended to store the boxes in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, as exposure to moisture can affect the quality of the wax granules. The packaging for Aoding’s granular paraffin wax is an effective way to keep the product safe and secure until it is ready to be used.
Aoding’s paraffin wax products, whether in 50kg bags or 25kg boxes, are transported via container shipping. A 20ft container can accommodate up to 20 tons of paraffin wax. During transportation, it is important to ensure that the container is properly secured and protected from damage to prevent any shifting or spillage of the wax. Aoding’s paraffin wax products are specifically designed for easy handling and storage in bulk quantities. Container shipping is a cost-effective and efficient way to transport large quantities of paraffin wax products, allowing them to be transported long distances and delivered to the customer’s destination in a timely and cost-effective manner.
